NHS 111 is a service is for people who:
- Need medical care fast, but it’s not an emergency
- Don’t know who to call for medical help
- Think they need to go to A&E or another NHS urgent care service
- Need help because they, or someone they know, is experiencing a mental health crisis
- Need health or mental health information or reassurance about what to do next.
- Need emergency dental care
Call 111 or go online to access urgent care when it’s not an emergency. The free service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you’re deaf and want to use the phone service, you can use the NHS 111 British Sign Language service. You can also call 18001 111 on a textphone.
