A type of health check or test is also called a health screen.
Regular injections to help stop some illnesses are called vaccines.
Some people call injections a jab.
Health screens and vaccines are important to help keep us well.

The West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance webpage was made to help people know more about cancer screening and ideas to help staff support people to access them. It has information in different languages and also British Sign Language (BSL).

Pneumococcal vaccine
The pneumococcal is an infection is caused by bacteria.
Infection is when bacteria gets in your body.
Bacteria are tiny bugs that can make people ill. We now have a vaccine to help stop you getting this infection and becoming ill.

Abdominal aortic aneurysms. This is sometimes called AAA.
The aorta is a big blood vessel that takes blood from your heart round your body.
When some people get older, the aorta can get weak and swell up.
This is an abdominal aortic aneurysm or AAA.
